Westside Driver Training, a Driving School in Sheffield, actually started out as Westside School of Motoring. The reason for the change of name was to reflect the increasing diversity of services that are offered by the company. "School" can imply the company only trains "learners".
Steve Davenport, the owner, passed his ADI qualification in September 2000. Always wanting to run his own driving school in Sheffield, he set up Westside School of Motoring just after his qualification and gradually increased the business implementing the name change in 2007.
Not long after qualifying Steve started doing an NVQ Level 3 in Driving instruction passing that in August 2001. Since then he has qualified as a DSA Registered Fleet Driver Trainer in December 2007 and is now a Grade 6 ADI. Steve has also set up a Partnership Fleet risk assessment company, Pro SafeDrive (UK), with fellow ADI Richard Grindrod.
